Survey Description


During the summer of 1983, helicopter-supported lake sediment and water sampling was carried out in the Lynn Lake area, northern Manitoba.  Samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2in the south half of NTS 64C and 1 sample per 6.5 km2 in the north half of 64C throughout the 13 700 km2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open Files 999 and 1288.  A subset of the data was included in GSC Open File 1959.  Open File 1288 is an update of Open File 999 containing new data for Au, Sb in lake sediments.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
