Survey Description
In 1992, 278 till samples and 38 sand samples were collected in the Red Lake-Confederation Lake area, northwestern Ontario. The data are published in GSC Open File 3038.
Data Description:
Paper report with diskette.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by ICP-AES after HNO3-HCl digestion for 22 elements; by fire assay/DCP for Au, Pt, and Pd; by INAA for 30 elements. Non-ferromagnetic heavy mineral fraction by INAA for 35 elements.
Geochem Maps Available:
Proportional symbol maps show dispersal of elements.
Other Analyses:
Heavy mineral concentrate for gold grains, kimberlite indicator minerals, and point counts; pebble lithologies (5.6-16 mm).
