Survey Description


Samples (mostly till but also glaciomarine sediments) were collected in southwestern Quebec in 1982.  The data are published in GSC Open File 1899.  These data were also released as part of a big Ontario-Quebec summary and interpretation in GSC Bulletin 463.

Data Description:

Paper report.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.002 mm fraction by AAS after HNO3-HCl leach for 12 elements, by fluorometric method for U and by colorimetric method for As.

Geochem Maps Available:

None.

Other Analyses:

Grain-size (<2 mm fraction); carbonate (<0.063 mm fraction by LECO).

  • Covers parts of NTS 31F, G, J, K, N, O in southwestern Quebec.  It is bounded to the south by the Ottawa River.
