Survey Description

In the summers of 1973 and 1974, 780 heavy mineral pan concentrates were collected from stream sediments on the Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec. The samples were collected for a joint study with Bureau de recherché géologique et minière – France to assess the viability of using alluvial heavy minerals in glaciated areas.

Heavy mineral counts, data plots and statistics can be found in Ministère des richesses naturelles report DP-577.
