Survey Description


Stream sediment samples were collected in the La Tuque region by the Société de Développement de la haute Mauricie (SDHM) with technical expertise provided by Ministère des Ressources naturelles du Québec:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers most of NTS 31P/7 (La Tuque) and very small parts of 31P/2 (Lac-Chat) and 31P/8 (Beaudet) in the La Tuque region, Quebec.  It is located east of Lac Cinconcine.  The centre of the study area is located approximately 124 km northwest of Quebec City and 76 km north of Shawinigan.

  • Covers a small part of NTS 31P/9 (Lac-Édouard) in Mauricie region, Quebec.  It is located west of Lac-Édouard (the lake and the town) and the centre of the study area is located approximately 90 km south of Lac Saint-Jean.

  • Covers a very small part of NTS 31P/9 (Lac- Édouard) in Mauricie region, Quebec.  It is located west of the southern part of Lac- Édouard and near Lac de la Grande Baie.
