Survey Description
In autumn of 1988, basal till sampling was carried out by Sial Internationale in the Montauban area, southern Quebec. A total of 106 samples were collected close to access roads using a vibrasonic drill and a mechanical augur. Eighty-six (86) samples were processed for heavy minerals. Approximately 50 of the heavy mineral samples were subjected to mineralogical analysis.

Covers part of NTS 31I/16 (Notre-Dame-de-Montauban), in the Montauban area, southern Quebec. The city of Trois-Rivières is located approximately 50 km southwest of the southern edge of the study area and Lac aux Sables is located in the northwest corner of the study area.
