Lake sediment sampling survey, NTS 24B/1-7, C/1-8 and D/1-2, 7-8, Rivière Caniapiscau area, Nord-du-Québec region, 1983.

In 1983, a lake sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Rivière Caniapiscau area, Quebec. The area covers approximately 49700 km2. A total of 3823 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2.
Samples were analyzed for Ag, Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Ce, Co, Cr, Cu, Eu, F, Fe, Hg, K, La, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, Sc, Sm, Sr, Th, Ti, U, V, Y, Zn, pH and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File DP 86-23, Department of Energy and Resources, 1986.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers the south half of NTS 24B (Lac Jeannin), the south half of 24C (Lac Cambrien) and 24D/1 (Lac Forcan), /2 (Lac Moyer), /7 (Lac Doran), /8 (Lac Garault). The Rivière Caniapiscau area is located in the Nord-du-Québec region. It is bounded by latitudes 56° and 56°30' and longitudes 66° and 71°.
