Survey Description


During the summer of 1983, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the eastern part of Lac Frotet and Lac Domergue, Quebec.  The area covers 1 km2.  A total of 145 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.007 km2.  Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Ag, Fe, Al, B, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Ce, Cr, Eu, K, La, Li, Mg, Mo, Na, P, Sc, Sm, Sr, Th, Ti, V, Y (ICP-ES) and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File MB 86-29, Department of Energy and Resources, 1986.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 32J/10 (Lac Regnault).  The eastern part of Lac Frotet and Lac Domergue area is situated in the Nord-du-Québec region.  It is bounded by latitudes 50°38'40" and 50°39'40" and longitudes 74°30' and 74°31'20".
