Survey Description


During the summer of 1981, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the La Ribourde township area, Quebec.  The area covers 14 km2.  A total of 118 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.1 km2.  Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Ag, Fe, Li, Mo, Hg (atomic absorption), U (fluorimetry) and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File MB 85-70, Department of Energy and Resources, 1986.

  • Covers NTS 32G/12 (Lac Opawica), /13 (Lac Inconnu).  The southern half of La Ribourde township is located in the Nord-du-Québec region.  It is bounded by latitudes 49°44'30" and 49°47'30" and longitudes 75°39' and 75°43'30".
