Survey Description
During the summers of 1981 and 1982, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Opawica area, Quebec. The area covers 500 km2. A total of 185 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.7 km2. Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Ag, Mn, Mo, As, Fe, Hg, Li (atomic absorption), U (paper chromatography) and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File MB 85-51, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985.

Covers NTS 32G/12 (Lac Opawica). The Lac Opawica area is situated in the Nord-du-Québec region. It includes Lac Wachigadau and Lac Lessard. It is bounded by latitudes 49°30' and 49°45' and longitudes 75°30' and 76°.
