Survey Description


During the summer of 1981, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Daine township, Quebec.  The area covers 10 km2.  A total of 151 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.07 km2.  Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Ag, Mn, Mo, Fe, Li, Hg (atomic absorption), U (paper chromatography) and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File MB 85-34, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985.

  • Covers NTS 32G/13 (Lac Inconnu).  The Daine township is located in the Chibougamau region (Nord-du-Québec).  It is bounded by latitudes 49°55'24" and 50° and longitudes 75°35'05" and 75°41'45".
