Survey Description


During the summer of 1982, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Gaudreault area, Quebec.  The area covers 70 km2.  A total of 86 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.8 km2.  Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Ag, Mn (atomic absorption) and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File MB 85-33, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 12L/16 (Lac Gaudreault).  The Lac Gaudreault area is situated in the Côte-Nord region.  It is bounded by latitudes 50°45' and 50°55' and longitudes 62°11' and 62°21'.
