Between 1977 and 1982, the Department of Energy and Resources decided to undertake the whole covering of the Gaspé Peninsula. The area covers 8500 km2. A total of 24203 stream sediments were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.4 km2. Samples were analysed for:
|Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Ag, Sn||atomic absorption (AAS)|
|U||visual colorimetry or fluorimetry|
|Loss on ignition (LOI)|
The data are published in Open File DV 84-04, Department of Energy and Resources, 1984. Samples collected by SOQUEM and other mapping surveys (DPV-563, ES-19, DPV-674, DPV-854, DP-55, DV 82-02) are included in this document. Samples were reanalysed and data are published.
