Survey Description

In 1981, after a geochemical reconnaissance survey done in 1980 by M. Beaumier (1982), a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Lamarck and Dolomieu townships.  The area covers 5.3 km2.  Work was done in 2 areas anomalous in Cu, Ni, Co, As, U, Mn and in Cu, Co, Ni, Zn, Pb (identified as north grid and south grid).  A total of 103 samples were collected from horizon Ao (41 in north grid and 62 in south grid).

In the north grid, samples were collected every 200 m, spaced at every 300 m.  In the south grid, samples were collected every 300 m, spaced at every 300 m.  These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Sn, Li, As, Hg, Ag, Bi and U.

The data are published in Open File DP 82-03, Department of Energy and Resources, 1982.
