Survey Description


During the summer of 1981, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Mounts Stoke areas, Quebec.  The area covers 84 km2.  A total of 112 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 10.0 km2.  These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Li, Ag, Cd, Ba, Al, B, Be, Ce, Cr, Eu, Fe, K, La, Mg, Na, P, Sc, Sm, Sr, Th, Ti, V, Y (atomic absorption), U (paper chromatography) and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File MB 85-36, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985.  In 1985, a compilation was published in Open File MM 85-03.

  • Covers NTS 21E/12 (Wotton). The Monts Stoke area is situated in the Estrie region. It is bounded by latitudes 45°33' and 45°37' and longitudes 71°36' and 71°47'30".
