Survey Description


In 1980, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Mounts Stoke area, Quebec.  The area covers 120 km2.  A total of 120 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per km2.  These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Li, Ag, Cd, Ba and U.

The data are published in Open File DPV-822, Department of Energy and Resources, 1981.  In 1985, a compilation was published in Open File MM 85-03.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 21E/12 (Wotton). The south part of Monts Stoke area is situated almost entirely in Richmond county, in the Estrie region. It is located 40 km northeast of Sherbrooke. It is bounded by latitudes 45°30' and 45°33'45" and longitudes 71°36' and 71°50'.
