Survey Description


In 1966, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Manicouagan region, Quebec.  The area covers 4000 km2.  A total of 217 stream sediment samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 18.4 km2.  Samples were analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 22N/1 (Lac Mathevet), /2 (Lac Lacoste), /3 (Lac Tepisca), /6 (Rivière Utishku), /7 (Mont de Babel), /8 (Lac Lacoursière), /9 (Rivière Hart Jaune), /10 (Lac du Chaunoy), /11 (Lac Landriaux). The area studied is located in the Côte-Nord region. The Lac Manicouagan area is situated in Saguenay county. It is bounded by latitudes 51°05' and 51°40' and longitudes 68°20' and 69°20'.
