Survey Description


In 1971, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Joyel area, Quebec.  The area covers 116 km2. A total of 332 samples were collected along each creek, at an average density of 1 sample per 0.4 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn (HNO3, atomic absorption).

The data are published in special study ES-24 and his annex DPV-335 Department of Natural Resources, 1976.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 22N/8 (Lac Lacoursière), /9 (Rivière Hart Jaune). The Lac Joyel area is situated in the Côte-Nord region, Quebec. It is bounded by latitudes 51°29' and 51°37'15" and longitudes 68° and 68°06'30".
