Survey Description


In 1967, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Manicouagan area, Quebec.  The area covers 1400 km2.  A total of 149 samples were collected (27 samples in the first region and 122 in the second), at an average density of 1 sample per 9.4 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 22N/1 (Lac Mathevet), /2 (Lac Lacoste). The Manicouagan region is situated in Saguenay county, Côte-Nord area. It is bounded by latitudes 51° and 51°10' and longitudes 68°45' and 69°.

  • Covers NTS 22N/1 (Lac Mathevet), /2 (Lac Lacoste), /7 (Mont de Babel), /8 (Lac Lacoursière), /9 (Rivière Hart Jaune), /10 (Lac du Chaunoy). The Manicouagan region is situated in Saguenay county, Côte-Nord area. It is bounded by latitudes 51° and 51°32'30" and longitudes 68° and 68°35'.
