Survey Description


In 1972, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine area, Quebec.  The area covers 200 km2. A total of 29 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 6.9 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 11N/5 (west) (Ile du Cap aux Meules). The Îles-de-la-Madeleine region is situated in the Gulf of St-Lawrence. It is bounded by latitudes 47°13' and 47°25' and longitudes 61°46' and 62°.
