Survey Description
In 1971, a till sampling survey was conducted in the Val d'Or, Kanasuta river, Rouyn, La Motte, Amos and Clericy areas, Quebec. The area covers 5320 km2. A total of 844 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 6.3 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni (dissolution HNO3).
The data are published, on maps only, in Open File DP-61, Department of Natural Resources, 1972.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 32C/4 (Val-d'Or) and 32D/3 (Rouyn), /6 (Rivière Kanasuta), /7 (Clericy), /8 (La Motte), /9 (Amos). This survey includes Val-d’Or, Rivière Kanasuta, Rouyn, La Motte, Amos and Clericy regions, in the Abitibi area. It is bounded by latitudes 48° and 48°45' and longitudes 77°30' and 79°30'.
