Survey Description
In 1970-1971, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Rivière-du-Gouffre area, Quebec. The area covers 1000 km2. A total of 86 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 11.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Co, Ni, Ag, Mn, Mo, U, Sb, W and Sn.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-605, Department of Natural Resources, 1972.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 21M/7 (Maillard), /10 (Saint-Urbain). The Rivière du Gouffre area is bounded by latitudes 47°15'N and 47°45'N and longitudes 70°30'W and 70°45'W. It includes the cities of Baie-Saint-Paul and Saint-Urbain in the east-central part of the area.
