Survey Description


In 1970, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Dumoine area, Quebec.  The area covers 3000 km2.  A total of 209 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 4.3 km2 and analysed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Co, Ni, Ag, Mn, Mo, U, Sb and Sn.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-604, Department of Natural Resources, 1972.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31K/12 (Lac Russell), /13 (Lac Dumoine) and 31N/4 (Lac Antiquois).  The Lac Dumoine area is bounded by latitudes 46°30'N and 47°30'N and longitudes 77°30'W and 78°W.  Its center is located 64 miles east of Témiscamingue.  It straddles the Témiscamingue and Pontiac county line.
