Survey Description
In 1965-1966, a soil and stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Otelnuk area, Quebec. Three zones were named A, B, C. Samples were collected at 500 feet intervals, along creeks. Systematic soil sampling was conducted in abnormal areas. The area covers 20 km2 (sediments) and 16 km2 (soils). A total of 330 sediments were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.06 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo and Ni. A total of 2240 soils were collected in horizons A and B, at an average density of 1 sample per 0.009 km2 et analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo and Ni.
