Survey Description


In 1969, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac des Martres area, Quebec.  The area covers 500 km2.  A total of 251 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.0 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, Co, U, W, Mn, Sn, Sb, Ag, Au.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-601, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1971.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 21M/15 (east) (Lac des Martres).  The Lac des Martres area is located between 47°45'N and 48°N latitude and 70°30'W and 70°45'W longitude.  This area is in Charlevoix county.  Route 56, between Baie-Saint-Paul and Chicoutimi, crosses the southwest corner of the map area.
