Survey Description


In 1967, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lesueur township area, Quebec.  The area covers 70 km2.  A total of 101 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.7 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, U.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-599, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 32F/9 (Desmaraisville).  The northwest quarter of Lesueur township area is bounded by 49°30'54"N and 49°35'15"N latitude and 76°06'W and 76°12'W longitude.  The southern part is crossed by the Senneterre-Chibougamau highway.  It includes Ruisseau Karraka, Rivière Bachelor and Lac Bachelor.
