Survey Description


In 1969, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Lagacé area, Quebec.  The area covers 1000 km2.  A total of 274 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 3.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, Co, U, W, Mn, Sn, Sb, Ag, Au.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-593, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 32B/14 (Lac Lagace).  Lac Lagacé area is in Abitibi county, 100 miles northeast of Senneterre and approximately midway between Senneterre and Chibougamau.  It includes Rivière Pascagama, Lac Larouche, Lac Lacroix, Lac Marceau and Lac Buteux.  It is bounded by 48°45'N and 49°N latitude and 75°W and 75°30’W longitude.
