Survey Description


In 1968, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Baby township area, Quebec.  The area covers 80 km2.  A total of 232 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.4 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, Co, U, W, Mn, Sn, Ag and Au.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-592, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.  This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31M/6 (Ville-Marie).  The Baby township area (southwest part) is bounded by 47°25'45"N and 47°30'N latitude and 79°12'30"W and 79°19'40"W longitude.  It includes Lac des Douze, Lac Robinson, Petit Lac Long, Lac Croche and Lac des Mauves.
