Survey Description


In 1967, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Bressani-Chambalon area, Quebec.  The area covers 700 km2.  A total of 225 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 3.1 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni and U.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-581, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of 32G/2 (Lac Roy).  The Bressani-Chambalon area lies between 49°N and 49°15'N latitude and 75°W and 74°40'W longitude.  Its center is approximately 55 miles south-southwest of Chibougamau.  It includes parts or all of Langloiserie, Pambrun, Bressani, Chambalon, Marceau et Balète townships.  Parts of a few square miles in the eastern section of the area were not mapped.
