Survey Description
In 1969, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Beauchêne and Lac Bleu areas, Quebec (NTS 22G/1, 22B/1, 8, 9, 16, 22H/1-4 and 22A/2-16). The area covers 4000 km2. A total of 279 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 14.3 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Co, Ag, Mn, Mo, Ni, U, Sb and Sn.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-580, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1973.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 31L/7 (Mattawa), /8 (Rivière Maganasipi), /9 (Lac Bleu), /10 (Lac Beauchene). The Lac Beauchêne and Lac Bleu area has its northern boundary at 46°45'N latitude, it extends as far as 78°W longitude, to the south and west, the Ottawa River is the boundary line. Its center lies about 35 miles southeast of Témiscaming.
