Survey Description
In 1966, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in Lac des Chefs area, New-Quebec. The area covers 400 mi2. A total of 178 samples were collected and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni and U.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-574, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1968.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 25C/4 (Kyak Bay) and 25D/1 (Kangirsuk). The Lac des Chefs area is located 150 miles northwest of Fort-Chimo. It is bounded to the south by Rivière Arnaud and to the east by Lac Vierge and Baie Kyak, Nouveau-Québec.
