Survey Description


During the summer of 1968, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Rouvray area, Quebec.  The area covers 1000 km2.  A total of 24 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 41.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Ag, Au, Co, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn, Sn, U and W.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-579, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 22E/7 (Lac Rouvray).  The Lac Rouvray area is bounded by 49°30'N and 49°15'N latitude and by 70°30'W and 71°W longitude.  It comprises Crown lands and also the wood limits of Price Brothers Company Ltd.  In Chicoutimi county.
