Survey Description


In 1964, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Hébertville area, Lac-St-Jean, Jonquière-Kénogami and Roberval counties, Quebec.  The area covers 1000 km2.  A total of 183 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 5.5 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn and Mo (atomic absorption technique).

The data are published in preliminary report RP-546, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1966.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 22D/5 (Hebertville).  The Hébertville area is touching on and directly south of Lac Saint-Jean and includes Lac Saint-Jean, Jonquière-Kénogami and Roberval counties.  The main villages are Saint-Emilien (Desbiens), Saint-Jérôme (Métabetchouan), Saint-Gédéon, Saint-Bruno and Notre-Dame-d'Hébertville.
