Survey Description


In 1963-1964, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Montauban-Colbert area, Quebec.  The area covers 1100 km2.  A total of 399 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.8 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn and Mo.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-545, Department of Natural Resouces, Quebec, 1966.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31I/16 (Notre-Dame-de-Montauban).  The Montauban-Colbert area includes the Montauban township and parts of Marmier, Chavigny, Alton, Colbert and Bois townships and Grondines-Ouest, Grondines-Est and Perthuis seigniories in Portneuf county; and parts of Lejeune township and Sainte-Anne seigniory in Champlain county.
