Survey Description
In 1964, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Baie-des-Moutons area, Quebec. The area covers 1100 km2. A total of 204 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 5.4 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn and Mo.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-543, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1965.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 12J/11 (Tête-à-la-Baleine), /14 (Baie-des-Moutons) east and 12J/15 (La Tabatière) west. The Baie-des-Moutons area borders on the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, about 330 miles east of Sept-Iles. It includes Boishébert and parts of Montesson and Céry townships, and the villages of Tête-à-la-Baleine, Baie-des-Moutons, Tabatière, Lac-Salé and Baie-de-la-Terre.
