Survey Description


In 1972, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Dôme de Lemieux area, Gaspésie, Quebec.  The area covers 90 km2.  A total of 230 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.4 km2 and analysed by the Service de la géochimie et géophysique for 5 additional elements: Ag, Mo, Sn, As and Hg.

The data are published in Open File DP 82-17, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1982.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 22B/16 (Mont Albert).  The Dôme de Lemieux area is located between 48°45'N and 48°51'N latitude and 66°05`W and 66°15`W longitude.  It includes 3 creeks: Brandy, Brandy Nord and Indien.
