Survey Description


In 1973, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac-à-Claude area, Quebec.  The area covers 84 km 2.  A total of 348 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.2 km 2 and analysed for:

Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni, Co, Mn, Ag, Sb

HNO 3

atomic absorption (AAS)

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 22H/4 (Mont-Louis).  It is located in Lac à Claude area and includes Lac Mercier, in the southern part of the Gaspé Peninsula.
