Survey Description


In 1971, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Mines Madeleine area, north of Gaspé Peninsula.  The area covers 73 km2.  A total of 259 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.3 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 22G/1 (Ste-Anne-des-Monts).  It is bounded to the north by the Parc de conservation de la Gaspésie and is located in the Madeleine mines area.  It includes the lake Les Quatre Lacs.
