Survey Description


In 1974, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the region of Belleterre, Quebec. The area covers 1000 km2.  A total of 87 samples were collected all over the area at an average density of 1 sample per 11.5 km2.  Samples were analysed for:

The results are published in Open File DP-398, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1974.  This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31M/7 (Belleterre), /8 (Lac Winawiash) in western Quebec.  Lac Soufflot is located approximately in the centre of the study area.  It is bounded to the south by 47.25°N latitude.
