Survey Description

In 1977, 36 samples of clay-rich sediments were collected from 5 drill cores taken across a clay plain approximately 10 km east of Palmarolle, Quebec.  The humus samples came from two soil surveys carried out in 1979: a regional survey including 59 samples collected south and north of La Sarre Bay and a detailed survey comprising 571 samples collected in an area of approximately 40 km2 between the towns of Palmarolle and Duparquet.  A summary of the work can be found in Quebec Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources Document divers DV 85-11.
