Survey Description

In August and September 1989, lake sediment and water samples were collected from lakes and ponds in a 730 km2 area in the vicinity of Hanes Lake, northern Ontario.

In total, 896 lake sediment cores and water samples were collected in this final year of a three year study.  Sediment collection included: 683 pre-Ambrosia samples, 95 mixed pre- and post-Ambrosia samples and 118 post-Ambrosia samples.

The data and a detailed description of the survey are published on Ontario Geological Survey Map M80806.
