Survey Description

Lake sediment cores were collected from 8 lakes and samples from these cores were analysed for 9 elements.  Work also continued on the diatom inferred paleo pH indicator method for providing data on the pH history of lakes particularly in post Ambrosia time.

A summary of the work and discussion of cores from 2 of the lakes are found in Ontario Geolgocial Survey Miscellaneous Paper MP116 (Summary of Field Work 1983).
