Survey Description
24 humus, 24 B-horizon soil and 40 till samples were collected on the Nym Lake property in 2000. Twenty-four sites were positioned over a 1300 m by 1600 m area of the mafic intrusion and related breccia. The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report 6054.
Data Description:
Paper report with data lists. Digital data available separately as MRD-71 (Miscellaneous Release-Data 71).
Quantities Analysed:
0.177 mm fraction of humus and <0.063 mm fraction of till by ICP-AES for 25 elements; by ICP-AES-FA for Au, Pd, and Pt; and ICP-MS for 51 elements.
Geochem Maps Available:
Proportional symbol maps show dispersal of selected elements.
Other Analyses:
Heavy mineral concentrate from 77 till samples for gold grain counts and metamorphic or magmatic massive sulphide and kimberlite indicator minerals; pebble lithologies for 77 till samples.
