Survey Description


Stream sediment samples were collected in the Burtts Corner, Millville, Coldstream and Napadogan map sheets in west-central New Brunswick.  Samples were collected from streams draining the north part of the Pokiok Batholith.  The year of collection is unknown.

The trace element content (selected elements) of heavy minerals is presented on New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources map plate MP 81-35.  A brief mention of the work can be found in NB DNR Report of Investigation 22.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of NTS 21J/2 (Burtts Corner), 21J/3 (Millville), 21J/6 (Coldstream) and 21J/7 (Napadogan) in west central New Brunswick.  It covers the north half of the Pokiok Batholith.  The Saint John River lies to the west and the south of the study area.
