Survey Description


273 till samples were collected in the Canterbury area, southwest New Brunswick in 1990 and 1991.  The data are published New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File Report 92-5.  These data were republished as part of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Map Plates 96-2A, 96-2B and 96-2C.

Paper report.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm fraction by AAS for base metals and by INAA for 33 elements.

Geochem Maps Available:

None.

Pebble lithologies (3-8 cm size); grain-size (<2 mm)

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 21G/14 (Canterbury) in southwest New Brunswick.  The towns of Canterbury and Prince William lie in the western and eastern part of the study area, respectively.
