Survey Description

In 2005, stream sediment and water samples were collected at 34 sites in northwestern British Columbia.  Moss-mat samples were collected at 3 of the sites.  This detailed survey was carried out to follow up multi-element anomalies previously identified in regional sampling and published in GSC OF 5000/RGS 58.

Preliminary results were published in British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, British Columbia Geological Survey, Geological Fieldwork 2005, Paper 2006-1.

The entire geochemical and mineralogical analysis of the heavy mineral concentrates, stream sediment and water samples is published in British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, BC Geological Survey GeoFile 2022-10.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
