Survey Description


During August and September 2007, ground and helicopter-supported collection of stream sediment and water samples was conducted in the Pine Pass map area, central British Columbia.  A total of 906 stream sediment and water samples were collected from 854 sites at an average density of one site per 12 km2 over the 10,500 km2 survey area.  The data are published in Geoscience BC Report 2008-7.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 93O (Pine Pass) in central British Columbia.  It is bounded by Williston Lake in the northwest corner.
