Survey Description
In the summer of 2006, a high-density lake sediment and water survey was conducted in the Schefferville, Quebec area of western Labrador.
In total, 473 lake sediment and 495 lake water samples were collected using a float-equipped helicopter. In most cases, the centre of the lake was sampled.
The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File LAB/1585.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 23J/09 (Cavers Lake), the north half of NTS 23I/12 (Andre Lake) and the Labrador portions of 23I/13 (Marion Lake), 23J/15 (Lac Knob), 23J/16 (Hollinger Lake), 23O/01 (Lac Willbob), 23O/02 (Lac Tait) and 23O/07 (Lac Bacchus) in the area of Schefferville, Quebec, western Labrador. Most of the study area is bounded to the north by the Labrador-Quebec border.
