Survey Description
176 till samples were collected in 1985 in the Letitia Lake area, central Labrador. The data are published in Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy Open File 13L/0069.
The samples were reanalyzed in ~2004 for a larger suite of elements and the data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Open File 13L/0121.
Data Description:
Paper report and maps.
Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by AAS after HNO 3 digestion and HCl leach for 11 elements; by X-ray fluorescence for 12 elements; by ion specific electrode for F; and by delayed neutron activation for U.
Geochem Maps Available:
Maps 89-to 89-124 show the dispersal of selected elements.
Samples from this survey were reanalyzed for fluoride and the data are published in a compilation (Open File LAB/1778) with samples collected from across Labrador between 1983 and 2004.
