Till sampling survey, NTS 64B/5, 12, Ruttan Mine area, northern Manitoba, 1985-1986.
(requires an Internet connection)
In 1985, 44 till samples were collected 2 km northeast of Ruttan Mine, northern Manitoba. Arsenic values for these were almost an order of magnitude higher than regional background values. Therefore, in 1986, 22 more till samples were collected just north of those collected in 1985 to try to determine the source of the arsenic. The samples were processed for heavy minerals, including gold.
The raw data have not been published. A summary of the work can be found in Manitoba Energy and Mines Report of Activities, 1985 and 1986.
